Meeting Clare Aitkin last year and setting up a networking group to bring together charities and the private sector for mutual good has been brilliant.
So far, we’ve held two events and the feedback has been awesome!
“Brilliant first network meet with Inspire Good today! Very much looking forward to the next one!”
It was the best networking session I’ve been to since covering the Newcastle and Northumberland area for Marie Curie. It had structure, interaction and learning and felt like a really good use of my time. I’ll definitely be recommending it to colleagues and contacts.”
We’re all about doing good, and the beauty of bringing charities and businesses together is that we can help each other and unite as one for passionate causes.
Both Clare and I are committed to supporting charities. Clare successfully builds corporate partnerships that benefit local charities through her business Chiara Consultancy and I’ve over 10 years specialising environmental and climate change communications.
There’s a long tradition of companies donating money and time to charities because they want to give something back and “do good”. Now there is a growing recognition that companies have a much more powerful role to play and have more to offer than just financial support.
Through Inspire Good we want to connect businesses and charities for supportive purposes and explore ways to learn and share knowledge for the greater good.
Each bi-monthly meeting highlights a local charity and will include a training session, delivered by a local business, along with networking opportunities.
Inspire Good events cost £5 to attend and all proceeds will go to charity.
The next one is on 31 January in Newcastle! See you there?
